Day 2: The Green Machine

I figured that every blog that has smoothies always has a smoothie called “The Green Machine”. This one was pure green yumminess and super filling. And yes, I did forget to take a picture of my creation so words will have to do for now.

Here is my recipe from Day 2:

“The Green Machine”

  • Kale
  • Whole Green Apple
  • 1/4 c. Raw Almonds
  • 1 drop Vanilla Stevia to sweeten
  • 1/2 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • Ice (optional)
  • Water

Again, this was really filling which was due to the added almonds. They’re a healthy fat that is super nutritious. You can read more about the health benefits of almonds here.  The NutriBullet also blends these really well so you would have no idea almonds were in there!

Simply Stevia - Vanilla & BlueberryThe vanilla stevia I added is from the lovely company, Simply Stevia, and has a great flavor that isn’t bitter like most brands of stevia. So any of the stevia I use in my recipes comes from them. They also last a long time since a little bit goes a long way.
